Before founding The Purpose Hub, Debra was a BBC Prime Time Producer and Director — creating factual and documentary content for Crimewatch, Watchdog, Lifeline and political and environmental programmes. That background shaped everything: the belief that clarity, narrative discipline and emotional truth are what make communication effective at scale.
Today she works with boards, leadership teams and communications directors across sectors — bringing the same editorial rigour she developed at the BBC to the strategic communications challenges that matter most. She is also the creator of the TRUST Framework — a proprietary governance model for strategic communications used in board programmes and executive education.
Debra is a charity trustee, public speaker and board advisor, and is particularly sought after by organisations navigating growth, change or reputation-critical moments.
